Temptation

Temptation is within us all, it stays in us growing, manifesting, just waiting for it’s chance to take complete hold over us. Temptation is not as beautiful as love, and it certainly doesn’t have the same happy ending. Temptation is not as ugly as hate, but it is certainly is more dangerous. I’m tempted, and the temptation in me has grown beyond my control. Every time I’ve ever let myself care has come full circle, and left me with a feeling of regret. Every time I’ve attempted to protect, I have been left alone to protect myself from them. Maybe I’m not cut out for the hero life, or maybe I went about it the wrong way. So maybe I just won’t care. Maybe I’ll stop protecting, because Lord knows none of you did…
